China’s favorable policies continues. Air source heat pumps are ushering in a new era of rapid development!
Recently, the Guiding Opinions of China’s National Development and Reform Commission, and National Energy Administration on the Implementation of Rural Power Grid Consolidation and Upgrading Project pointed out that on the basis of ensuring power supply, the “Coal to Electricity” should be implemented steadily and orderly to promote clean heating in rural areas. Song Zhongkui, Secretary General of the China Energy Conservation Association, pointed out that heat pump heating is about three times more efficient than electric heating, and can reduce emissions by about 70% to 80% compared to coal heating.
Under the Dual-Carbon goal, the heat pump technology with high efficiency, energy saving and low carbon is in line with the background of the times and policy orientation, and meets the development needs of terminal energy electrification. Recently, Beijing, Jilin, Tibet, Shanxi, Shandong, Hangzhou and other places have issued policies to encourage energy-saving and efficient heat pumps. For example, the notice of Beijing Renewable Energy Alternative Action Plan (2023-2025) encourages the use of air source heat pump for central heating in towns and other urban areas according to local conditions. By 2025, the city will add 5 million square meters of air source heat pump heating area.
